The Minister of Oil announced that the national authorities have been able to complete the rehabilitation of Al-Alil oil reservoir in Nineveh, which is one of the largest warehouses that provide strategic stocks of oil derivatives for Nineveh province, northern region and western region.
Al-Allaibi said in a statement, followed by the Iraqi Economic Center, that “the national authorities in the oil sector, was able to complete the work of rehabilitation of the warehouse of the bath Alalil oil in Nineveh, which is one of the largest warehouses that provide strategic stocks of oil derivatives of Nineveh province and the northern region and the western region”.
He explained that “the warehouse will provide storage capacity of 75 million liters of oil derivatives, including (60) million liters of gas oil (kerosene) and (15) million liters of white oil,” noting that “the national authorities Has been able to build and build a reservoir (2) capacity of (1.5) million and five hundred thousand liters dedicated to gasoline, and is expected to operate before the end of the month.
He added that “the national staffs in the pipeline company and its backers from the Petroleum Products Distribution Company and the heavy engineering equipment company and the oil projects company was able to complete the work of the rehabilitation of the warehouse and operation in record time and the possibilities available after the terrorist gangs had destroyed it and its expertise during the previous years”.
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces Haider Abadi, had announced, on Thursday (31 August 2017), the victory to liberate the district of Tal Afar and the province of Nineveh completely control of the organization calling the terrorist after nine months of fighting to expel the criminal organization.
