MP Magda al-Tamimi said on Sunday that the agreement to include the budget in today’s session to complete the second reading, while the government has made some amendments to it.
Tamimi said in a press statement, that ‘we agreed to include the budget today to read the second reading’, noting that ‘the second reading does not mean voting, meaning to listen to the other partyfor discussion, and I do not know why the objection of the Kurdish blocs to this and not listen and debate’.
She pointed out that ‘the government sent some changes for income and expenditure’, explaining that ‘revenues in the budget was 90.9 trillion dinars, and became after the amendment 90.6 trillion dinars’.
“The second change is in the increase in total expenditures, as it was 103.9 trillion dinars and became 104.1 trillion dinars,” adding that ‘investment expenditures rose from 24.4 to 24.6 trillion dinars, and added a paragraph of the Council of Ministers, adding allocations of 2 trillion dinars to the emergency reserve, The disbursement shall be made to fill the shortfall in the calculation of employee compensation, investment expenses and social protection network ‘.
Al-Tamimi added that “the paragraph of the oil-producing provinces has been amended, that if the revenue increases the disposal of the amounts owed past and subsequent, in the event of higher revenues, and the sales tax was added 10% on goods sold in malls and shopping centers and beauty centers and women’s and men’s haircut.
