Moscow/ Iraq TradeLink: Russian Izvestia daily reported that Damascus approved Iraq to bombard Da’ish (ISIS) sites in Syria.
The paper quoted member of the Syrian People’s Council Saji Tu’ma who announced this permission.
Earlier Iraqi Premier Haidar al-Ibadi announced the readiness of the Iraqi air force to bombard terrorist sites inside Syria.
Experts believe that the new cooperation between Iraq and Syria in fighting terrorism was due to the gradual change in Washington’s policy in the region.
Tu’ma disclosed that the cooperation between the two governments dated back to years, but it was not possible to make such statements without the Syrian permission for Iraq fighters to implement operations inside the country, the paper added.
He did not exclude that the Syrian planes will chase terrorists inside Iraq at the borders, the paper said.
