Nikkei closing up at the highest level in a week and a half

Japanese stocks rose to their highest levels in a week and a half, Friday, at the conclusion of transactions with international investors bet that US tax reforms are gaining momentum.

But Fujifilm Holdings shares fell after the company delayed the announcement of its financial results due to the investigation of Bamahaspat.

The benchmark Nikkei average one percent to close at 18620.75 points, the highest close since April 11.
