The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities announced on Sunday that it is working in cooperation with the World Bank to implement projects to rehabilitate the destroyed bridges in the liberated governorates, including Nineveh province, as well as implementing water supply projects.
“The ministry has a duty to restore services to the liberated areas and it is our responsibility to lift the rubble, open the streets and deliver water to the citizens,” Housing, Municipalities and Municipalities Minister Ann Nafez Oussi told a news conference in Basra province. “The displaced people do not return to their homes before providing water, Water is more important than electricity. ”
She pointed out that “the ministry is working in cooperation with the World Bank to rehabilitate the destroyed bridges in the governorates of Salah al-Din, Anbar and Diyala,” adding that “there is an integrated plan for the rehabilitation of bridges in the city of Mosul, where will be the rehabilitation of some bridges in the near term, Remote. ”
Isis has blown up a number of vital bridges in the provinces of Nineveh, Anbar and Salahuddin during the past three years in an attempt to isolate the areas that he controlled and prevent the security forces from liberation.
