Kurdistan Region Remembers France’s Support

 

The people of the Kurdistan Region would never forget about France’s prolonged support to the region, Kurdistan Regional Government representative to France stated.

“The French Foreign Minister has asserted that his country would support any attempts to solve the issues between Baghdad and Erbil in accordance with the Iraqi constitution,” KRG representative to France cited the French Foreign Minister to BasNews.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian after meeting with the Iraqi officials, paid a visit on Monday to the Kurdistan Region to meet with the Kurdish officials including the prime minister Nechirvan Barzani.

After assessing in details the latest attempts for resolving the issues between the sides, the Kurdish PM thanked the French official for being one of the first countries to break the diplomatic and political blockade on Kurdistan and he reiterated the region’s continuous appreciation and support to France.
