Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed on Monday that Iraq would not be part of any regional dispute.
Abadi’s remarks come just before he left Baghdad heading to Saudi Arabia, his first leg in a Middle East tour that also includes Iran and Kuwait.
The visit is part of Abadi’s diplomatic efforts seeking to promote bilateral relations and to coordinate with these states to combat terrorism.
Iraq has sacrificed the blood of its people to counter terrorism and remove the ruins of destruction caused by ISIS terrorists, Abadi added, noting that Iraq wants to be in a good relations with all neighbors based on respect of sovereignty.
