The Central Bank of Iraq (CBE)’s foreign exchange sales rose to 122.67 million dollars on Tuesday, up from 119.38 million dollars on Monday , an increase of 3.29 million dollars.
The central bank said in a statement that the exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 30 banks and 3 financial transfer companies.
The bank said the sales were the result of the auction scheduled for Wednesday, explaining that the total sales for the day amounted to about 136.97 million dollars.
Amounts sold to boost bank balances abroad amounted to $ 121.05 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 1.62 million.
The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price.
