Barzani Arrives in Amman to Meet with King Abdullah
Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani arrived in Amman, capital of Jordan on Thursday to participate in the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa, which is slated to begin on Friday.
Barzani left for Jordan on an official trip on Thursday, May 18, to attend the World Economic Forum and also meet with King Abdullah for discussions over a number of subjects.
According to sources, Barzani and King Abdullah will discuss a range of topics including the ongoing war against the Islamic State (IS), the post-IS political phase and other issues between Kurdistan Region and the Arab countries.
The World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa will be held at the Dead Sea in Jordan on 19-21 May 2017, in partnership with the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD).
